Nana Agradaa, the founder of Heavens Way Chapel International, has been released from Nsawam Prison after serving 8 months of her sentence. She was initially sentenced to 15 years in prison for defrauding by false pretence and charlatical advertisement, but her sentence was reduced to 12 months by the Amasaman High Court, which deemed the original sentence “harsh and excessive”.
Agradaa’s release follows Ghana’s standard remission rules, where she served two-thirds of her revised sentence. She has since reunited with her family and is expected to meet with her church congregation soon.
In a video shared by her husband, Angel Asiamah, Agradaa was seen at their residence, surrounded by family members, all dressed in white. Asiamah captioned the post, “Thank God my wife is finally home”.
