Plus, Gyae Su Herbal Centre go host and run the project. Dis centre go serve as training ground for caregivers and also as the place wey musicians fit get free medical care. For interview with Graphic showbiz, Bessa Simons talk say dis kind drive dey very urgent, as MUSIGA dey receive plenty calls about musicians wey dey stuck for hospitals because dem no fit pay their medical bills. “Plenty times we don get calls about musicians wey dey detention for hospitals because dem no fit afford bills. Dis initiative na our way to make sure say dis kind things no go happen again. With ‘Musicians Help Musicians’, we dey try make healthcare free and easy for musicians wey need am most,” e talk. When he dey explain how dem go run the project, he talk say: “Dis year, we go start ‘Musicians Help Musicians’ with the Denmark medical firm. As part of am, doctors and nurses go land for Ghana to train volunteers wey don sign up to be carers for musicians wey dey need help.
“Dem carers go ready to help musicians wey dey waka for bed, assist those wey no fit move well, and give dem important tools like walking stick or any other support thing. “Plus, after dem train, some of di volunteers go fit travel go Denmark make dem get practical experience before dem come back Ghana give quality care,” he talk. Bessa Simons come explain say di Danish medical partners go check di place wey dem choose to see wetin dem need for medical equipment. “If Gyae Su Herbal Centre need something like dialysis machine, dem go help provide am. Di aim be say, when musicians visit di place, dem go fit get all di healthcare wey dem need without stress about cost,” he add.
