Initiatives:
– Establishment of a Fixed Asset Coordinating Unit within the National Sports Authority to assess and manage sports facilities
– Introduction of an e-ticketing system in stadia to curb revenue leakages and ensure accurate record-keeping
– Construction of standard sports stadiums in every region, equipped with modern training facilities
Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang announced this initiative at the 50th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards, emphasizing the government’s commitment to rebuilding grassroots sports systems and promoting sports development.
