Mr Kwame Ntow Amoah, Acting Chief Executive Officer of GNPC
Accra will play host to some of Africa’s most influential petroleum leaders next week as the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) convenes the 7th edition of the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO) National Oil Companies (NOC) CEOs Meeting.
The two-day summit, scheduled for September 14-15, 2025, will gather executives from 19 oil-producing nations across the continent for high-level discussions on regional cooperation, innovation and sustainability in Africa’s petroleum industry.
The forum, regarded as APPO’s flagship platform for strategic engagement, will be chaired by Mr Kwame Ntow Amoah, Acting Chief Executive Officer of GNPC, who also serves as the current Chair of the APPO NOC CEOs Forum.
“This summit highlights Ghana’s stature in Africa’s petroleum industry and GNPC’s commitment to advancing cooperation and innovation for the continent’s shared progress,” Mr Amoah said in a statement ahead of the meeting.
The gathering takes place on the margins of Africa Oil Week (AOW) 2025 and is expected to cement Ghana’s position at the heart of Africa’s energy dialogue.
Organisers say discussions will focus on practical measures to boost local content, develop shared infrastructure, and attract new investment opportunities, while also encouraging stronger intra-African energy partnerships.
