Ghana’s young table tennis talents, Joanita Borteye and Israel Aklie, are heading to China for an elite training programme sponsored by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). They’ll be joined by Cynthia Kwabi, who’ll participate in a special pathway for female table tennis leaders.
The training programme, taking place from December 4th to 13th, 2025, at the Chengdu National key table tennis training school, aims to provide Ghana’s young talents with world-class training and exposure to international competition.
This is a significant opportunity for Ghana’s table tennis development, as it allows the young players to learn from China’s renowned coaching expertise and training methods. The Ghana Table Tennis Association is optimistic that this training will help the young talents improve their skills and compete at the international level.
