Gervonta Davis, the WBA lightweight champion, is facing serious allegations of violence from his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel. According to the lawsuit, Davis allegedly:
Physically Assaulted Rossel: Grabbed, choked, and dragged her through a stairwell, kitchen, and back exit of Tootsie’s Cabaret, a Miami gentlemen’s club where Rossel worked as a VIP cocktail waitress.
Threatened to Kill Her: Davis allegedly sent Rossel threatening messages, including “I’ll kill you,” and accusing her of infidelity.
History of Abuse: Rossel claims Davis had physically assaulted and choked her on multiple occasions during their five-month relationship, leaving her with severe PTSD, anxiety, and extreme fear. The lawsuit, filed in Miami-Dade County, accuses Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Davis’ coach has responded, stating that they’re surprised by the lawsuit and that Davis is “doing fine.” However, the allegations have raised concerns about Davis’ upcoming fight against Jake Paul on November 14 .
