A Lagos State magistrate court in Ikorodu has approved DNA tests in the US and UK to determine the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam. The court has selected three laboratories – one in the US and two in the UK – for the test. Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, had requested the DNA test amid questions surrounding the singer’s death in September 2023. The test will involve collecting samples from Liam, his mother Wunmi, and Mohbad’s father, with welfare officers monitoring the process. The matter has been adjourned to April 7, 2026, for sample collection.
