Black Queens of Ghana
The Black Queens, Ghana’s senior female football team, are gearing up to face Russia in their second match at the Pink Ladies Cup tournament in Dubai. Coach Kim Lars Brokegren is confident in his team’s abilities, despite Russia’s experience and ranking as 28th in the world.
Russia, the defending champions, had a strong start to the tournament, beating Tanzania 4-1. However, the Black Queens are determined to make a mark, having won their opening match against Hong Kong 4-0. The team’s goals against Hong Kong came from Princess Marfo, Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, and Agejipina Zakaria.
