The 16 teams competing are:
– Pot 1: Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana
– Pot 2: Zambia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Algeria
– Pot 3: Senegal, Mali, Egypt, Burkina Faso
– Pot 4: Cape Verde, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi
This edition of WAFCON is historic, featuring 16 teams for the first time. The tournament will also serve as qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
