President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu as Ghana’s High Commissioner-Designate to Nigeria. Baba Sadiq, a media entrepreneur and founder of 3 Media Networks Limited, is expected to strengthen diplomatic ties, promote trade and investment, and enhance cultural exchange between Ghana and Nigeria.
As High Commissioner-Designate, Baba Sadiq will oversee Ghana’s diplomatic mission in Nigeria, focusing on regional security, migration, and economic cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). He will also provide consular services to Ghanaians in Nigeria.
Baba Sadiq’s appointment follows the recall of previous High Commissioner Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed, who was recalled due to allegations of voter inducement. Baba Sadiq has expressed his commitment to serving Ghana with diligence and integrity.
