Thousands of runners and fitness enthusiasts hit the streets of Accra today for the 2025 First National Bank (FNB) Accra Marathon! The event, now in its third year, is a celebration of health, unity, and community spirit, attracting both elite athletes and amateur runners from across the country.
The marathon featured various categories, including a 42.2km full marathon, a 21.1km Half-Marathon, a 10km Youth Race, and a 10km Corporate Challenge. David Nakousi, a University of Ghana student, successfully defended his title, winning the men’s 21.1km race for the second consecutive year.
Florence Kichira from Kenya took home the top prize in the female category, winning GHC10,000.
The event was organized by the Dansoman Keep Fit Club, with First National Bank as the headline sponsor, and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ghana Education Service, and Ghana Athletics.
