Former Ghana Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, don dey wanted by Special Prosecutor Office (OSP) because dem claim say e dey involve for plenty big corruption matter.
Dem announce am for press briefing wey happen on February 12, 2025 . According to Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, dem accuse Ofori-Atta say e cause financial loss to state through hin dealings for National Cathedral construction and GRA contract with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML).
Ofori-Atta dem dey talk say im give go ahead for ¢142.7 million release for National Cathedral project for 2020, even when people dey raise concerns about how dem dey manage am . Plus, e dey also accused of supervising one shady deal between GRA and SML for 2019, wey make them pay over ¢1 billion to SML without proper approval from Public Procurement Authority . OSP don warn Ofori-Atta say he get two options: either e go come back Ghana by himself or dem go take action to bring am back make e fit show for court.
