The Black Princesses concluded their WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Nigeria’s Falconets.
Ghana had previously beaten Benin 2-0, but Nigeria dominated the match, scoring twice in the first half through Janet Akeremkowei’s 15th-minute free kick and Alaba Olabiyi’s 23rd-minute goal.
Despite Ghana’s efforts, Nigeria sealed the win with a third goal late in the game, completing a double over Ghana.
Coach Charles Sampson’s team finished second in the tournament, with two wins against Benin and two losses to Nigeria. Sampson views the defeat as a valuable learning experience, helping him refine the team ahead of future assignments.
