Fashion designers deserve recognition at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), says Robert Raymond Cudjoe, CEO of Chapters Couture.
He believes fashion plays a crucial role in shaping Ghana’s music industry and should be acknowledged alongside musical excellence.
Cudjoe suggests introducing a category like Best Fashion Designer/Stylist (Music or Performance) to complete the creative chain linking sound, sight, and style.
This would boost designers’ confidence, inspire artists to elevate their fashion game, and promote Ghanaian fashion globally.
Some notable fashion designers making waves in Ghana include Marian Gifty Mensah of Magmens Couture, who was crowned Ghana’s Most Respected CEO in Fashion and Lifestyle Services in 2024.
She’s known for her customer-centric approach, innovative designs, and commitment to empowering young designers.
