The Asutifi North MP, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has been granted bail in the sum of GH¢150,000 with one surety to be justified. This follows his appearance in court over allegations of attacking personnel from the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) at Hwidiem.
Key Conditions of the Bail:
Reporting to Investigators: The MP is required to report to investigators every two weeks until the case is resolved or the trial begins.
Travel Restrictions: He is prohibited from leaving the Greater Accra Region without prior notice to the case investigator.
Reappearance in Court: The MP is expected to reappear before the court on December 1, 2025.

Assault on Public Officers: The MP is accused of inciting a mob and obstructing NAIMOS team’s operations, leading to an attack on the team.
Unlawful Damage and Rioting: The incident allegedly involved vandalism of property and threats against the NAIMOS team and police personnel .
